Before you begin
Gather the following materials before you
- Login credentials for the bank or payroll provider OR PDF documents to upload documents manually.
- Employer contact information (if applicable)
- Your salary information
Enter your employment information
- Select either I'm employed (e.g. you are a W-2 employee) or I'm self-employed (e.g. you own a business or get 1099s).
- Enter details about your employer or your self-employment.
- Enter details about your gross income (before tax) and the cadence. Findigs will calculate the monthly total for you as long as you can input Annual, Monthly, Bi-weekly, or Weekly.
Here are some examples:- You are paid a yearly salary of our gross income is $60,000. Select Annual from the drop down and enter 60000 in the field.
- Your hourly gross wage is $25.50 per hour and you work 40 hours per week.
- Calculate the number of hours you work in the desired time frame (for example per week), and multiply by your hourly wage - in this example $25.50 x 40 = $1,020.
- We calculated per week, so select Weekly from the cadence drop down.
- Enter the calculated wage in the amount field - in this case $1,020.
- Verify your income by linking either a bank account or a payroll provider. If you're linking a bank, make sure to choose the account where you deposit your pay. If you cannot link a bank or payroll provider, upload your documents manually.
